Opt for AWD and you'll get a total output of 232 hp. The EV6 Long Range with a larger battery is also available with a single- or dual-motor setup. The rear-drive model is good for 226 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque, while that with both axles driven can churn out 321 hp and 446 pound-feet. The Kia EV6 uses an 800-volt electrical architecture that allows the battery to achieve an 80-percent charge in only 18 minutes on a 350-kW fast charger.

For driving enthusiasts, there is a range-topping high-performance GT model offered exclusively with a 77.4-kW battery and all-wheel drive. Its motors produce a combined 577 hp and 546 pound-feet of twist, sending the car to 62 mph from a standstill in 3.5 seconds and providing a max speed of 128 mph. Externally, the EV6 GT crossover differentiates itself from the rest of the pack with a bigger wheel and tire combo and more aggressive designs of the front and rear fascias.

Not only is the EV6 fast, it also has a sporty exterior and an airy cabin that is claimed to offer the interior space of a mid-size SUV. Typically for electric vehicles, the newcomer has a short nose as there's no engine up front, which also translates into more interior room. The in-cabin design of Kia's EV is simple, yet without being spartan. Up front, there are two 12-inch screens, one for the instruments and one for infotainment, which are placed side by side for a clean, integrated look. The steering wheel has a two-tone design and overall, the interior is a tasteful mix of light and dark tones and textures.
