That means a gasoline engine turns on when the battery is low to power it rather than drive wheels directly. With a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder unit sourced from the BMW i3 and two electric motors, one for each rear wheel, the GS-6 offers 536 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque.
The car goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The GS-6 Sport model is 0.6 seconds faster. That became possible thanks to different tuning and an additional 74 lb-ft of torque. Whatever the model, it is equipped with a 28-kWh battery pack that allows for up to 80 miles of electric-only driving. It is mounted beneath the tunnel created by a center console stretching all the length of an interior. Speaking of the interior, it looks similar to that of the original Karma yet is chock-full with up-to-date technologies. For instance, it comes with a digital gauge cluster. The cabin is adorned with wood and/or carbon fiber trim pieces. The buyers can choose from several leather colors.
