The Ferrari 308 was produced from 1975 till 1985. It was a sports car offered in two body configurations which were a two-door berlinetta, the Ferrari 308 GTB, and a two-door targa topped coupe, the Ferrari 308 GTS. As a sports car, it used RMR layout. The 308 GTB was first shown to the public at the 1975 Paris Motor Show, while the 308 GTS debuted two years later, at the 1977 Frankfurt Motor show. The GTB was the first Ferrari car to have a fiberglass body. Both variations of the model used the same powertrain that featured a 2.9L V8 engine, the GTB had an output range of 255 hp for Europe and 240 hp for the USA market and the GTS cranked out 205 hp. In 1982, Ferrari built the 308 Quattrovalvole. The name indicated the quantity of valves per cylinder. The powertrain remained virtually unchanged, but the output range was increased to 230 hp.
