The main intended purpose is to allow the engine builder to rotate a complete engine with any 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar. It will allow for an easy location of tdc replacing a timing belt or any maintenance that requires tdc. This is a rotating socket that slips onto the crankshaft snout. It is a low profile design that makes access easy without the risk of crankshaft snout damage or a backward engine rotation. Company 23 cnc machined this tool to provide a lifetime of reliable use.
