Cylinder Head Innovations of Thomastown, Australia, provides race-winning cylinder heads and manifolds, with high performance and quality proven at the dyno and on the track circuit, offered at affordable prices. Cylinder Head Innovations is a family owned and operated business that is run by father and son racing team, Neville and Scott March. They supply special heads and manifolds to almost any type of V8 pro racing.

Since 1972, Neville was specialized in making aftermarket cylinder heads and high-performance engine assemblies under the “Pro Heads” and “Head Craft” names that were very successful cylinder head machining and engine building enterprises with an excellent reputation for high quality and a considerable list of loyal followers. In 2009, Neville and Scott purchased the Cylinder Head Innovations and the 3V brand. While building upon some great concepts of cylinder head designs and manufacturing, they have turned CHI into a company that could supply specialized manifolds and heads to professional drag racing, circuit racing, etc.

Cylinder Head Innovations has two 5-axis CNC machining centers, two 4-axis CNC machining centers, two Serdi valve seat grinding machines, a Faro arm CMM digitizer, and DTS4000G engine dynamometer in a controlled environment capsule. On top of all of that, company engineers also have Faro seven-axis CMM, CAD modeling, Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics capacities to make sure their products stay at the cutting edge of technology. All Cylinder Head Innovations heads are Australian-manufactured. All castings are procured locally, with majority of assembly items like retainers and springs coming from the USA.

As an engineer who specializes in fluid dynamics, Scott is leading the design and engineering team and is proud to collaborate with aftermarket cylinder head, manifold, and high-performance engine manufacturers around the word. At CHI, company personnel carries out all research and development in-house, with their DTS Engine Dynamometer Cell, which they have independently calibrated for repeatability and room quality, and the Superflow flow bench with its outstanding Flowcom software. The company does all of their five-axis machining in-house for unequalled quality and performance control.
