It differs in a grille design and badging. The VentiPorts usually found on full-size Buicks were absent in the Centurion. The car was available as a two-door coupe, four-door hardtop and two-door convertible. The Centurion came only with a V8 engine capable of 315 HP, offering two power output ranges depending on either a single or dual exhaust system was installed. All Centurions came standard with a three-speed Turbo Hydra-matic transmission.

The 1972 model was slightly changed in design and shared the same 124-inch wheelbase as the previous model. It featured a new vertical grille and a bit different lights and bumper. The 1973 Centurion was powered by a 5.7 L V8 engine making 175 HP. The 7.5L four-barrel engine capable of 250 HP was optional. The 1973 model was a bit facelifted and featured an all-new grille, rear bumper and lights. All Buick’s interiors are a combination of comfort, luxury and functionality. The Centurion is no exception. Inside, it was outfitted with luxurious vinyl upholstery and featured an extremely comfortable notchback bench seat with a center armrest.
