What’s New for 2024?

• The Sierra HD eschews a 6-speed automatic transmission, so the base 6.6-liter gasoline V8 is now paired to an Allison 10-speeder. The power output of this engine remains unchanged at 401 hp and 464 pound-feet of torque.
• The 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8, which is offered as an option, gets a power increase. It now generates 470 hp, up from last year’s 445 hp, while the torque output grows to 975 lb-ft, up from 910 lb-ft. This much muscle means higher towing capacity for the Sierra 2500HD, which bumps to a maximum of 22,500 lb.
• The Denali Ultimate trim is now crowning the model lineup. It is lavishly outfitted with full-grain leather and open-pore wood on the inside, while the exterior is distinguished by a uniquely-designed grille and wheels. Gloss black accessories bring a compelling styling touch to this rig.
• GMC’s Sierra HD models got subtle cosmetic tweaks, which include a fresh front end design with LED headlights. The tail lights underwent a revision as well and feature sequential turn signals.
