The redesigned MDX rides on a new light truck platform and has a 3-inch longer wheelbase. It is also wider and lower than the outgoing model. It also comes with grippier tires and stronger brakes to match. Acura's optional SH-AWD has also seen some improvements, now capable of sending up to 70% of available torque to the rear.
