The Hyundai Sonata returns this year with more standard features, which makes it even more competitive in its segment. But the biggest news for 2021 is certainly the release of the all-new, long-expected N-Line. Make no mistake about this high-performance model, it is built for street driving, not racing on a track. Although it is more mainstream, it has a reworked chassis, some redesigned interior parts, and many distinctive accessories inside and out. The newbie can be further upgraded with 2021 Hyundai Sonata accessories and parts from the aftermarket readily available in our selection to look and feel even more exclusive. The N-Line makeover also includes powertrain changes. To wit, the model gets power from a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine that has an intercooler that cools the charged air before it enters the combustion chamber for maximum horsepower output. That is actually a reworked version of the base motor found under the hood of the entry-level Sonata.

While the base 2.5-liter is good for 191 horsepower, the turbocharged version of that engine is capable of producing up to 290 horsepower that is put to the ground through the front wheels. Of note, it isn’t an N-Line exclusive. That means the turbocharged mill in question will be available on other 2021 Sonata models. Upper trim versions are powered by a 1.6-liter turbo engine generating 180 horsepower. The high-performance sedan was also lowered by 0.2 inches and got more aggressive shocks and springs. To ensure better handling, Hyundai equipped its new offering with anti-roll bars. On top of all that, the car sits on exclusively designed rims wrapped in summer tires. Hands down, stock rubber will work well in a warm climate. However, when temperatures drop below 45 degrees, drivers turn to the aftermarket for quality winter rubber. Whether you are in need of winter, all-season, or summer tires, you will find your set in our selection of 2021 Hyundai Sonata parts and accessories.

The N-Line also got larger brakes for better stopping power. Inside, the newcomer has a sportier-looking interior compared to the regular version. It features red trim that creates a nice contrast with dark chrome accents. Besides, this model received sport seats that are both supportive and comfortable. On the outside, the N-Line differentiates itself from others in the lineup with extra front air intakes and trim-specific side-skirts. At the back, it sports quad exhaust tips and a diffuser. The lower part of both front and rear bumpers is trimmed in black. The car also got 19-inch wheels. With all the above-mentioned styling tweaks, it looks sportier than other Sonatas.

Safe for the new model, the 2021 Sonata mostly remains a carryover model with reliable driving performance, driver-oriented interior, and stylish exterior. As far as technologies concerned, the sedan has lots of them. What’s more, even the entry-level model has a long list of standard equipment including smart cruise control, auto-on headlights, etc. Just like before, it is available in a number of trim levels and appearance packages to meet different drivers’ preferences. Those drivers who choose the SEL Plus model will likely appreciate its new 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires from Pirelli. Offered exclusively on the SEL Plus, they improve traction in both wet and dry driving conditions and reduce road noise inside the cabin. For the sake of comparison, the outgoing version sat on 18-inch wheels with Michelin tires. The 2021 Sonata Limited got a six-way-adjustable front passenger seat. Last but not least, all models, save for an entry-level one, are blessed with a safe exit warning feature. It helps the driver to prevent potential accidents when parallel parked.

24 reviews
I've bought 3 sets of these matts for different vehicles, two being work trucks that see a lot of wear and tear, and I continue to be impressed with the quality and durability of these matts. They fit extremely well and are very, very durable. You can't go wrong with this product!
