For decades, the BMW 3-Series has been living up to its Ultimate Driving Machine status. Two years in from its last redesign, this luxury-sports sedan continues to offer handling prowess in combination with ride comfort. The seventh-generation 3-Series uses a longer, wider, stiffer chassis, and a new suspension and steering tuning for improved handling, stability, and comfort. For 2021, BMW introduces the plug-in hybrid versions of its revered sedan, named the 330e and 330e xDrive. The 2021 3-Series is a delight to drive in any of its flavors. Keep that high level of performance and handling by using high-quality parts and fluids for servicing and repairs. We have a wide range of them under one roof, along with 2021 BMW 3-Series accessories and performance upgrades sourced from top brands.
The new 330e PHEV looks much like the regular 3-Series and has the same minimalist interior with luxury appointments and the latest tech, but packs more power and returns excellent fuel economy. It is powered by a combination of BMW's familiar 2.0-liter turbo I4 and an electric motor, which produce 248 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque in total. The motor gets juice from a 12-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Like in all other models, an 8-speed automatic transmission takes care of power delivery. The RWD 330e and AWD 330e xDrive models are expected to return 75 and 67 mpg-e, respectively, and can travel for 22 or 20 miles on electricity, too. Acceleration to 60 mph takes 5.6 seconds in the XtraBoost mode.
The 330i and M340i trims carry over, representing the entry-level and high-performance versions of the luxury sedan. With the base 2.0-liter 255-hp I4, the 330i can reach 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and it's pretty quick for a car that fits most buyers in terms of ride quality and handling. Those who want to engage in performance driving and consider track days can opt for the M340i that can really stir the senses. It comes with a 3.0-liter 382-hp I6 and can do the run to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Both models can attain a 155-mph top speed when equipped with a performance package. Further improvements can be made with 2021 BMW 3-Series parts offered by aftermarket manufacturers. We have everything you need to customize your car, starting with performance tires and ending with interior accessories that can take ride comfort to the next level while sprucing up your cabin.
The 2021 BMW M3 presents a sporty personality inside, out, and under the skin. The new-gen M3 gets an eye-catching yet polarizing look due to a gigantic grille. Among the other parts that set the M model apart from the rest of the 3-Series lineup are more angular, aggressive-looking body panels and a big rear diffuser. Once you step inside, you’ll see some M-specific elements such as sport seats, carbon fiber trim, and red M Mode buttons on the steering wheel. The standard M3 is equipped with a 3.0-liter 473-hp twin-turbo I6, RWD, and can be had with a manual transmission, which is a rare find in today’s luxury-sports sedans. The mightier 2021 M3 Competition is powered by a 503-hp version of that engine and is only offered with an 8-speed ZF automatic. The rear-biased xDrive AWD system is available for the Competition model, which can send all torque rearward for some drifting fun.
