The 2021 A5 model range continues with a “45” 2.0-liter turbocharged I4, but this time around, that engine features a 12-volt hybrid system and adds 13 horsepower. It now makes 261 hp versus the outgoing model's 248 hp. Previously offered exclusively with the “45” engine, the 2021 A5 Sportback adds its “40” version this year as an entry-level offering. This four-cylinder is sourced from the A4 and puts out 201 hp. Both engine options team with a smooth and responsive 7-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
