As before, a 7-speed dual-clutch rear transaxle routes the power of the mid-mounted engine to the rear wheels.

Striving to reduce performance-robbing mass, the experts at Ford gave the GT the Liquid Carbon treatment. There is no paint job – the supercar’s carbon fiber body parts are finished in a clear topcoat exposing a beautiful weave. Carbon fiber wheels are part of the package, and buyers can further upgrade their car with accessories that include titanium lug nuts and a 6-point racing harness. Several interior colors and brake caliper options are available for customers to pick from. Another limited-production option is the Heritage Edition that pays tribute to a series of wins at Le Mans.
