After being rebuilt and launched as a 2013 year model, the second-gen EcoSport added some European, African, and Asian markets to the area of habitat. Built on Ford’s global B-car platform, the EcoSport shares most of its underpinnings with the Fiesta Mk VI. The debuting model only underwent a mid-cycle update that, however, received a lot of new features both inside and out. Coming up with refreshed front and rear fascias, the 2018 EcoSport lacks the rear-mounted spare tire featured by its counterparts elsewhere. Four trim levels are available: S, SE, SES, and Titanium.

Inside, the American EcoSport was upgraded as well. The new dashboard boasts an 8.0-inch touchscreen providing access to the infotainment system. Supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the infotainment also comes with a 675-watt B&O Play audio system (Titanium package only). Under the hood, the 2018 EcoSport has either a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost (shared with the Fiesta and Focus) or a 2.0 naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, both paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, both powered by gasoline. All-wheel drive is available for naturally aspirated versions only.
