RWD and AWD layouts are offered. A 3.0 L twin-turbo V6 rated at 362 hp is optional, now it is directed through a 9-speed automatic. This engine allows for quicker acceleration – the 0-60 mph time for this version is 4.6 seconds. The range-topping unit is a 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 that develops 469 hp, while the S variant utilizes its more robust version that churns out 503 hp. In both cases, engine power is directed through a 7-speed multi-clutch automatic. A 0-60 mph sprint takes 3.9 seconds for the S version and 4 seconds flat for the regular AMG C63.

Standard equipment for the 2017 Mercedes C-Class includes automatic wipers, 17” wheels, automatic climate control, power-adjustable steering, synthetic leather upholstery, driver-seat memory settings, COMAND infotainment system with a 7” central screen, CD player, HD radio, two USB ports, and Bluetooth. Safety features include numerous airbags, traction and stability control, ABS, and frontal collision mitigation.
