One of the world’s most popular compact SUVs, the Jeep Cherokee enters 2017 offering a range of updates and new features. All versions except for the base Sport come with standard HID headlights now. On the Trailhawk trim, a steering wheel and front seats are now heated, plus the seats are ventilated and upholstered in leather. Jeep's compact crossover SUV also received a remote start system, power liftgate, universal garage door opener, and keyless entry. The Overland grade unveiled last year now comes with power front seats, leather instrument panel, new steering wheel incorporating wood trim, premium audio system by Alpine, Berber floor mats, leather seats, and 8.4” touchscreen for the Uconnect interface offering Bluetooth, SiriusXM services, HD Radio, and navigation. Besides, two new packages are offered for the Overland trim – the Heavy Duty Protection Group that adds a spare tire and skid plates and Trailer Tow Prep Package that includes an auxiliary oil cooler for the transmission, a spare tire, tow wiring harness, and HD cooling for models fitted with a 3.2 L engine. A pair of special-edition models is available for the 2017 Jeep Cherokee, being the Altitude and High Altitude. The latter is based on the Limited grade, adding gloss-black badges, 18” aluminum wheels and exterior treatment. The Altitude builds off of the base model while also coming with a leather steering wheel with audio controls, deep-tint sunscreen glass, 18” aluminum wheels, and gloss black exterior treatment.

The standard engine for the majority of 2017 Jeep Cherokee models is a 2.4 L I4 that develops 184 hp. An optional unit, which is standard on certain trim levels, is a 3.2 L V6 capable of producing 271 hp. In both cases, the only gearbox available is a 9-speed automatic. FWD and AWD layouts are offered. Fuel economy is quite decent - the I4 returns up to 31 mpg, while the V6 can provide up to 29 mpg. V6-powered Cherokees fitted with a towing package (optional) are capable of pulling 4,500 lb. The 2017 Jeep Cherokee offers generous standard equipment. It includes remote keyless entry, LED taillights and DRLs, 17” steel wheels, cruise control, tilt-and-telescoping steering, 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, 5” touchscreen, auxiliary audio input, and other features.

A Bit Steep On The Price
Lloyd® - Ultimat™ Custom Fit Floor Mats
They do look great. However, considering the price, I won't be purchasing the rear set. The back doesn’t need as much flair and I believe I can find a more budget-friendly option that will work just as well. All in all, the mats are excellent, but it’s a bit too pricey to have them all around.
