While showing traditional speedometer and tachometer gauges in the “classic” mode, the system switches to the “infotainment” mode when the driver pushes a button on a steering wheel to display a navigation map, audio system controls, and other features.

Mechanical-wise, the 2017 Audi A3 didn’t see any remarkable changes. The sedan and convertible take power from either a 1.8L I4 (170 hp) or a bigger 2.0L engine (220 hp), while a performance sedan ups the pony count of a 2.0L unit to 292 hp. The drivetrain may still have a standard front-wheel drive or an optional Audi Quattro all-wheel drive, both of which receive torque from a seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. Overall, the new A3 features almost identical to the pre-facelift model’s price and performance, and is expected to find a comparable to its predecessor’s favorable market acceptance.
