Product Details

Mitsubishi Outlander ES / GT / SE / SEL 2016, T-Connector 3-Wire System with Powered Converter by CURT®. 3-wire System. A CURT custom wiring connector (sometimes called a T-connector) is a simple, plug-and-play electrical device that eliminates the need for cutting, splicing and soldering when installing vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Most vehicles do not come ready to tow. Unless your vehicle has a towing package, it is probably not equipped with a trailer wiring connector. This is where CURT's custom wiring connectors come into play.

CURT products come with a one-year warranty on components and parts.

Even if you've already hitched your trailer up, you're not actually ready to hit the road. What you also need to do is ensure the trailer has enough power to run turn signals and brake lights. That's why you need this T-connector. CURT applies SMT (surface mount technology) to any T-connector with a built-in converter, which allows for lower resistance, less heat generation and longer life cycle. The majority of CURT T-connectors require neither splicing nor cutting or taping, however if the length is not appropriate, you can cut the connector to appropriate length and splice it to the tail light wiring. Custom-designed to precisely fit your vehicle, this T-connector is created to deliver unsurpassed levels of performance, reliability and durability.

Great Package
CURT® - T-Connector
The connections are all spot on. Some DIYs may stumble finding the tail wiring behind trim panels but it's there. Note that the 12V battery on the PHEV is actually located in the left rear so no running the supply wire all the way to front. Works great.

Good Quality, Needs Better Instructions
CURT® - T-Connector
I purchased this connector after doing a little research thinking it was the easiest one to install on my 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander. When I got it was happy with the quality, good connections and everything was solid. Only problem I was was with the instructions, they where not very specific on how to install it, and found no help in YouTube since the cars newer. But figured it out and had no problems since then. Would recommend this to someone else.
