The vehicle is also offered with a 3.5L V-6 making 285 HP and 253 lb. ft. Sport models are powered by a new 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 engine that is good for more than 300 HP. A six-speed automatic with standard SelectShift paddle shifting backs them all.

The vehicle comes with a new chassis built from more high-strength steel to make it stiffer, and that helps the redesigned suspension better absorb bumps and potholes. The end result is a smoother ride and more agile handling. Another noticeable thing about the 2015 Ford Edge is its new adaptive steering system that comes standard on the Sport trim and optional on the Titanium one. That system can continually alter the steering ratio for any given driving situation. Unlike most other power-steering systems that rely on a fixed ratio of turns of the steering wheel in relation to the action at the front wheels, Ford's innovative system uses an actuator within the steering wheel assembly that can increase or dampen the driver's steering input to optimize steering control. It makes steering easier at low speeds and keeps the car more stable at high speeds.

The interior of the 2015 Ford Edge is much more spacious compared to its predecessor.
