The T100 – Toyota’s first attempt at creating a full-size pickup truck – wasn’t well-received by American buyers. Later on, the Toyota team started working on a new, more powerful truck that would be more appealing. The Tundra is Toyota’s hard-working beast with a lot of power and prestige. The first-generation Tundra was revealed in 1999, but hit the market in 2000. The 2005 Tundra hides lots of power under the hood for a variety of heavy-duty jobs. It's available in a number of body styles and trim levels. The regular version comes only in a long bed configuration, while extended (Access Cab) and crew cab (Double Cab) variants are available only in a short bed form. Access Cabs come with ‘suicide’ rear doors, ensuring easier access to the rear, while Double Cabs with 4 full-size doors and a longer wheelbase have the same bed length. The 2005 Tundra offers a choice of three main trim levels including the base, SR5, and Limited.

The Tundra is powered by either of two engines, each available with 4WD; the base engine is a 4.0L V6 (makes 425 HP) mated to a 6-speed manual/5-speed automatic. The optional 4.7L V8 (pushes out 282 HP) is paired with a standard 5-speed automatic. The V6 is great for light-duty use, while the V8 unit is engineered foe everyday driving, typical hauling and towing. When it comes to safety, ABS is standard; side-impact airbags as well as full-length side curtain airbags are optional on Tundra Double Cabs. The Tundra’s large dimensions all around allow it to compete with domestic vehicles. Standard equipment includes A/C, an adjustable steering wheel, and traction control.

The Tundra is a pickup truck that can handle rough terrain and heavy loads with equal ease. Get the most from your truck with our premium quality 2005 Toyota Tundra accessories and parts! 2005 Toyota Tundra Accessories Reviews

I ordered a cargo mat for a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade. I read the reviews and watched the promotional videos. Those lead me to purchase the Llyod Mat over any of the others. I had high expectations and I was somewhat let down once I received the mat. If you're in a hurry, give yourself time, the mat took about two weeks to deliver. Overall the mat is pretty good. I like that it's somewhat thin and flexible, which made it easy to roll out. The look is great and I came as close as I could to color matching my carpet interior. The part that disappointed me was the fit. I was expecting the mat to extend over the entire carpet from side to side. Unfortunately, the mat is cut short and uneven in places. There is about a half-inch gap around the sides and the portion near the trunk lid is not cut evenly. Since the mat is cut to order, there is no return. Minus the gaps from the sides, I do like the mat. It keeps all the things I store in my cargo area in place and it looks good. My only worry is when I carry liquids and if they spill. Check out the photos and video and you decided. I'm sure experiences will vary.
