The SLC-Class by Mercedes-Benz enters 2018 offering only minor updates and a pair of new appearance packages. Star logos placed above the grille and on the wheels were made black (they were chrome plated before) and the AMG model’s steering wheel is wrapped in leather and simulated suede now. Side mirror logo projectors were made standard. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz SLC-Class lineup includes two models – the SLC300 and AMG SLC43. The base model employs a 2.0 L turbo I4 power plant that develops 241 hp and the AMG SLC43 comes with a 3.0 L twin-turbo V6 good for 362 hp. Both offerings are connected to a 9-speed automatic and provide superior fuel efficiency – up to 32 mpg for an I4 and up to 29 mpg for a V6.

The RedArt Edition package unveiled for the SLC300 includes a distinctive gray body color, special gloss-red exterior accents that include side fins, front spoiler, rear diffuser and intake arches, 18” polished silver wheels, red brake calipers, and red perforated brake discs. Inside, the model features an exclusive leather, nappa leather upholstery with contrasting inserts and topstitching, carbon-fiber-look leather elements on the headrest, steering wheel and selector lever, and RedArt embroidery on floor mats and headrests. The Performance Studio RedArt package available for the AMG SLC43 offers specific paint finish, red trim elements on the same body parts as the RedArt Edition, 18” light-alloy wheels, and red brake calipers. Inside, the car also features black leather seats featuring nappa leather inserts and contrast piping and carbon-fiber-look leather on its selector lever, steering wheel and headrest. Floor mats feature air coordinating red borders matching the overall look. The model also offers seat heating and neck-level heating for the front seats.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz SLC-Class comes with an electrohydraulic roof, which can be easily opened and closed at speeds up to 25 mph. The car also comes with an automatic trunk separator that increases cargo capacity. When the roof opens, it automatically moves down. The model’s standard panorama roof offers an optional Magic Sky Control feature. It allows you to enjoy the open-air experience anytime and gives the needed shade in hot summer days.
