Lamborghini's first electric hypercar was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it’s the most powerful car the brand ever built. The newcomer was dubbed the Sian, which means lightning or flash in the Bolognese dialect, and limited to only 63 examples in honor of the automaker’s founding year (1963). Its open-topped version was released later this year. The automaker produced only 19 roadsters for the world. The all-new Lamborghini Sian is a unique car inside and out with a bunch of power-enhancing parts, many aerodynamic solutions, and distinctive accessories. But what makes the supercar truly special is its unique hybrid system that uses a supercapacitor instead of a lithium-ion battery typically installed in electrical vehicles. That brings a number of benefits like three times more power. Moreover, its supercapacitor is three times lighter compared to a traditional battery. As a result, the entire electric system with all of its parts and related 2020 Lamborghini Sian accessories weighs just 75 pounds.

Thanks to its location in the bulkhead between the cockpit and the engine, the supercapacitor ensures an ideal weight distribution. What’s more, the supercar is equipped with the regenerative braking system engineered to convert the car’s kinetic energy recovered during braking into electricity, thus ensuring the supercapacitor is totally charged. In a nutshell, it is able to provide both charging and recharging with the same power. Things get even more interesting with a well-known 6.5-liter V12 that is now electrified. Just like before, it is naturally aspirated. To enhance its power output, the automaker upgraded it with titanium valves. Thanks to those new 2020 Lamborghini Sian parts and related accessories, the mill can generate no less than 774 horsepower. Combined with an electric motor, we are looking at mighty 807 horsepower.

With such an incredibly capable powertrain, the new supercar can reach 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, which makes it the brand’s quickest accelerating model. Its top speed is limited at over 218 mph. The Lamborghini Sian roadster is only 0.1 seconds slower. As far as styling is concerned, the 2020 Lamborghini Sian is inspired by the futuristic Countach with its sharp lines all around the body. It has the same diagonal lines in its hood and some other common features. Be that as it may, the new supercar looks nothing but a Lamborghini with signature Y-shape stylistic elements. In its long and sculptured contours, it is void of the unnecessary for the pinnacle in aerodynamics. Moreover, the Sian has a great number of aerodynamic solutions including a tunnel in the roof.
