With its modern tech, advanced safety features, and all-around practicality, the Subaru Impreza is one of the most appealing choices on the compact car market. Just like the majority of other Subaru vehicles, the Impreza comes with all-wheel drive as standard, providing good all-season capability. Given that the lineup was substantially revised for 2017, with 95 percent of the model all-new, according to the automaker, not much is changed for 2018. Yet, the new Subaru comes with a few minor tweaks.
The 2018 Subaru Impreza is offered in four trim levels, ranging from the base 2.0i all the way up to the range-topping Limited. The sole engine option for all is Subaru's time-tested 2.0L flat-4 that develops 152 hp and 145 pound-feet of torque, bolted to either a five-speed manual (standard on the base trim) or a CVT (optional on the base model but standard on the Premium and up). The standard kit offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, power-operated mirrors, windows, and locks, Starlink audio system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, A/C, and a rear view camera. What the base Impreza lacks is the EyeSight suite of driver assists, which is optional on the rest of the model lineup. The system employs stereo cameras that monitor the traffic for collision avoidance, optimized cruise control, and safe lane keeping. Opting for an upper Premium trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, headlights that light up automatically when windshield wipers are on (for 2018, this feature is standard on all models except for the base one), and heated seats, mirrors, and windshield. New for 2018 in the Premium hatchback is the addition of standard roof rails.
Next comes the Sport trim level fully packed for inspired performance. It offers advanced 2018 Subaru Impreza parts and systems such as sport-tuned suspension with stiffer shocks, active torque vectoring, and paddle shifters. The Sport model rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels and has a unique look thanks to a black grille, LED daytime running lights, side rockers painted the body color, and a rear spoiler. 2018 Subaru Impreza accessories included in the top-of-the-line Limited model make it one of the most luxurious entry-level compacts on the market. It comes with leather seats (the driver's one is six-way power adjustable), color display between the instruments, LED headlights and daytime running lights, and automatic climate control. Subaru's top-tier rolls on 17-inch wheels and boasts unique exterior chrome accents. The Subaru Impreza is a dependable and fun to drive runabout. It is a decent compact packed with anything you need for daily driving, but if you need more, it's time for an upgrade. You can improve it in any way you want with our 2018 Subaru Impreza accessories and parts.
