When most side mirrors jutted awkwardly from doors and fenders on spindly stalks they were clad in attention getting chrome, but now that most mirrors are graceful, streamlined projections, the auto makers have chosen to cloak them in black or make them blend in with body color paint. We have chrome covers for almost every vehicle and every type of mirror, including towing mirrors. These covers have a smooth appearance, but if you want a wilder look go for covers with molded on flames. Plus, for many models we offer polished stainless steel logo bezels that surround the perimeter of the mirror glass.

In the past if you wanted custom mirrors you had to replace the entire mirror assembly, which entailed removing door panels, and maybe even modifications like drilling holes or splicing wires. You won’t have to deal with any of that hassle with our mirror covers. Each cover is designed to conform to the shape of a specific mirror, so it fits like a glove, and once in place in most cases you won’t even be able to tell it’s a cover. They’re available in full coverage and half coverage versions, and if your vehicle has mirror mounted turn signals, there are cutouts in the covers to accommodate them.

One of the key reasons our mirror covers fit so well is the method of installation. In order for them to look like a factory installation there can’t be any obvious holes or exposed fasteners, but that’s not a problem with 3M acrylic foam tape. All of our mirror covers and trim are attached with 3M tape, an adhesive so strong it’s used by the vehicle manufacturers to install trim at the factory. The only caveat with its use is that the mounting surface must be clean and free of dirt, oils, and wax that could impede adhesion. Then just peel back the protective film from the adhesive and press the cover into place.

After the covers are installed, enjoy your mirrors’ new look in their chrome cladding. That brilliant shine will last because this isn’t the chrome of old that rusted and pitted after just a few years. The base material for all of our covers is tough, rugged ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. This strong thermoplastic is impact, heat, and chemical resistant, qualities that have endeared it to the vehicle manufacturers who use it to make original equipment parts installed on the assembly line. The plastic is then triple chrome plated, including a layer of nickel plating for corrosion resistance.
