2017 Dodge Durango Grille Guards & Bull Bars

The details about these say that these do not fit Dodge Durango GT with the OE side skirting. So I removed on side skirt and put on running board. It looked horrible. So after trial fitting brackets and running board on the other side of the vehicle I determined that I could make them fit with the OE side skirting in place. On the passenger side I had to cut off two supports from the inside of the side skirt with a hack saw. There are many of them so missing two is not a problem. This was to clear where the brackets need to sit. Next the brackets a pressed up hard against the side skirting, so I used a rotozip to cut 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch notches in the side skirting to clear each bracket. Don't worry these don't show. On the passengers side there is a plastic housing running under the vehicle that protects a wire harness. I had to remove the mounting nuts from the plastic house to move it, so I could get the bolts in place for the brackets. The front passenger side bracket does not clear this housing, so I swapped it with the middle bracket from the driver's side. Also, I had a problem getting the rear brackets to fit. I found that if you swap the front and rear brackets all are happy. So, after figuring all of this out, making the adjustments, putting the side skirting back on the first side I have a very nice looking set of running boards.
