ATE Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid is a hydraulic fluid for hydraulic brake and clutch systems of motor vehicles with particularly high braking power. It is a mixture of polyethylene glycol ethers, polyethylene glycols, boric acid esters of polyethylene glycols in a high concentration to improve the water binding power, with anti-corrosion / anti-aging agents and further additives. The high boric acid ester concentration leads to a wet boiling point of more than 180° C, thereby reducing the risk of vapor lock caused by used, watered brake fluid in heated-up brake calipers after severe braking. ATE Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid meets and even exceeds the requirements of the brake fluid standards FMVSS-No. 116 – DOT 4, SAE J1704 and ISO 4925, Class 4, among others.
Up to 5 years in the original, factory-sealed packaging.
This brake fluid for hydraulic motor vehicle brake and clutch systems is, due to its low viscosity at extremely low tem-peratures, particularly well suited to brake systems with electronically controlled hydraulic components which require rapid modulation of the brake pressure at the braked wheel, particularly in systems, called “Elektronische Stabilitäts-programm” (ESP*) which used to prevent vehicle oversteer and understeer. The fluid composition is used by renowned car manufacturers on a mass production scale. The viscosity at –40° C is max. 700 mm²/s which is approximately half that of many other commercially available DOT 4 fluids and thus meets the requirements of ISO specification 4925 for brake fluids with low viscosity at low temperatures (class 6). The brake fluid consists of polyethylene glycol ethers, polyethylene glycols, boric acid esters of poly ethylene glycols with anti-corrosion / anti-aging agents and further additives. ATE DOT 4 brake fluid SL.6 meets and exceeds the requirements of brake fluid standards FMVSS no. 116 – DOT 4, SAE J1704 and ISO 4925, class 6 (among others). The ATE brake fluid SL.6 can also be mixed with other brake fluids which meet the specifications ISO 4925 Class 6, DOT 5.1 or DOT 4. However, the optimum ESP functionality, also at very low temperatures, is best ensured with fluids meeting the requirements of the specification ISO 4925 Class 6.

This brake fluid for hydraulic brake and clutch systems of motor vehicles exhibits the best capability for water absorption and the highest boiling point reserve of all ATE brake fluids. The composition is governed by the water-binding poly-ethylene glycol ether boric acid esters and additives specially developed for this high-performance fluid. The wet boiling point has been maximized at approx. 200°C in order to permit long intervals between brake fluid changes and to minimize the risk of vapor lock caused by used, watered brake fluid in heated-up brake calipers after extremely severe braking. ATE DOT 4 TYP 200 brake fluid meets and even exceeds the requirements of brake fluid standards including FMVSS No. 116 – DOT 4, SAE J1704 and ISO 4925, Class 4.
Up to 5 years in the original, factory-sealed packaging.
Super DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid is the newest addition to ATE line. A glycol ether-based brake fluid, it combines a high wet boiling point of 356 °F and outstanding viscosity in the extreme cold, something that previously available brake fluids could not achieve. ATE Super DOT 5.1 delivers excellent performance and maintains outstanding viscosity, even at -40 °F. With a maximum of 750 mm²/sec. at -40 °F, ATE Super DOT 5.1 viscosity values exceed even those of ISO Class 6, which are well above the specifications for DOT 5.1 class brake fluids. Thanks to its low viscosity, ATE Super DOT 5.1 enables driving safety systems such as ESP and ABS to react quickly, even in extremely cold conditions. The 356 °F wet boiling point enables DOT 5.1 to withstand high brake loads and delivers a longer service life. ATE Super DOT 5.1 only has to be changed every three years.
