The Lamborghini Centenario is a limited-edition sports car launched for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the company’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Only 40 units were manufactured – 20 roadsters and 20 coupes. Like another current limited-edition model, the Veneno, the Centenario is built on the Aventador platform. The car employs a 6.5 L naturally aspirated V12 capable of producing 759 hp (770 PS) that is paired with a 7-speed automated manual. It is the most robust production power plant by the Italian carmaker. The 2017 Lamborghini Centenario accelerates to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and its 0-186 mph time is 23.5 seconds. Its maximum speed is 217 mph. Braking from 60 mph to a standstill is achieved in a bit less than 98.5 ft.

The body and the central structural tub of the Centenario are made from carbon fiber. They are incredibly light, providing the dry weight of only 3,351 lb. The model features a smooth silhouette, horizontally oriented headlights, and hexagonal side glass. Shelf-like rocker panels with vertical fins, air extractors placed in front of the windshield, and air intakes that rise from the rocker panels up to the roof on both sides make the Centenario look exceptionally bold. The 2017 Lamborghini Centenario has no rear bumper – its rear end is essentially a large diffuser with 6 vertical fins and 3 angled tailpipes in the center. The rear spoiler of the car is extendable, it can adjust its angle by up to 15 degrees. Y-shaped tail lights located a few inches below the spoiler slice across the rear end, providing a distinctive look. The Centenario comes with 20” wheels in the front and 21” ones in the rear.

The Lamborghini Centenario features a new rear-wheel-steering system intended to stabilize handling at high speeds and decrease the turning circle. The effect provided by the system changes depending on the chosen driving mode (Sport, Corsa, or Strada).
