For decades, the Jeep Wrangler has been a truly iconic compact SUV for all those who love exciting off-road adventures. The vehicle is easily customizable with its foldable windshield and removable hard or soft tops and two or four doors. Besides, the latest, fourth generation of the Wrangler dubbed “JL” introduced in 2018 has a more aerodynamic design and is available with a range of more fuel-efficient engine options for improved fuel economy. Since Jeep tends not to mess with things that work well, 2020 Jeep Wrangler accessories and parts remain virtually unchanged if compared with the previous model year except for the introduction of new powerplant options.
The vehicle is available with a 3.0-liter turbocharged EcoDiesel V6 producing up to 260 hp across the whole range of trim levels. Sahara models may come with an optional 48-volt mild hybridization eTorque system. It allows for instant torque gains on low RPMs, which is great for those who prefer an aggressive driving style. Also, eTorque offers minor fuel savings on the city street driving cycle. Sport and Rubicon trims are still available with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 285 hp and equipped with an Electronic Start-Stop (ESS) system. The powerplant is paired to the 6-speed manual gearbox as standard or can be mated to the optional 8-speed automatic.
For the 2020 model year, Jeep decided to lower prices for vehicles powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine with ESS making up to 270 hp. This motor is available with an 8-speed automatic transmission only. The Sahara trim may be equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an eTorque system. In a word – there are plenty of engine power options for those who want to climb steep hills with confidence. However, the new model has obvious advantages over its previous iterations in the quality of ride, innovative technologies, suspension parts design, and availability of modern accessories, safety and comfort features. It also revives the glorious Willys name in one of its special edition versions, which has some serious off-road equipment including a limited slip diff, Rubicon dampers, beefy brakes, and mud tires.
New for 2020 is the High Altitude trim level that luxes up the rugged Jeep Wrangler. Its bold styling rivals that of the G-Wagen, highlighted by upgrades like 20-inch black wheels, unique LED lights, and body-color accessories. On the inside, black and gray leather wraps just about any surface. Of course, there are plenty of standard tech features, including auto high beams, an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The third model year of the JL generation brings the new Black and Tan Package for the Sport S trim. Unlike the Willys version, it is purely an appearance pack which adds special appointments inside and out. The exterior LED lighting option is now available for this version too. The larger infotainment system screen with satellite navigation is now available for the modest charge without the need for purchasing the entire Premium package. Just in time for Veterans Day, Jeep unveiled the special-edition Wrangler dubbed the Freedom. It takes the Sport S trim level as the foundation and adds plenty of military-themed visuals inside and out, along with a Sunrider soft top, gray wheels, and cloth-and-leather seat upholstery with contrast stitching.
A Recon Edition is the one and only way to have the top-of-the-line Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with an optional 2.0-liter 270-hp I4, which features eTorque hybrid technology. Aside from a hybrid powertrain, there are some nice off-road chops and appearance upgrades combined in one pack and offered at a bargain price. The Recon Edition adds protective bits such as steel front and rear bumpers and rock rails. There are LED lights at both ends, while black wheels with mud tires wrapped around them provide both aggressive looks and capability on demanding terrain.
The 2020 Wrangler Three O Five Edition is another option for those who want to stand apart from the crowd. Its name stands for a 305 area code and the package itself celebrates the Miami state. Special-edition SUVs wear white or orange “Miami colors” accented with unique graphics on the hood and sides. Each of the 255 Three O Five Wranglers offered can be optionally fitted with Mopar’s Jeep Performance Parts. Jeep strives to cover the needs of those who live in the North as well, so there’s the new North Edition that features cold-weather content. Remote start is a sure thing when it comes to such packages, as are heating elements in the steering wheel and seats. A recovery strap and tow hooks are included in the package. The vehicle is ready to deal with snow- and ice-covered roads thanks to standard four-wheel drive and winter tires. No matter how hard you use your capable SUV, whether you are crawling rocks or use it as a daily driver, you can always be sure to get to your destination safely and in style, especially if you use our 2020 Jeep Wrangler parts and accessories offered at a reasonable price.
