The Ford Escape is expected to get a full redesign next year, so for now, it returns largely unchanged with just a minor shuffling of features. The SUV was last updated for the 2017 model year, but it doesn’t look aged. On the contrary, it retains its fresh and up-to-date appearance. Up front, the model has the same prominent hexagonal grille that conceals an active grille shutter for better efficiency. The grille is surrounded by sleek LED-infused headlights. Like the outgoing version, the 2019 Escape features large outboard air intakes and an attractively sculpted aluminum hood. Be that as it may, its appearance can be further improved with aftermarket products. Some of them such as license plates and chrome trim are designed only for aesthetics, while others such as running boards can also improve the utility and convenience of a vehicle. Whatever you need, you are sure to find it in our selection of 2019 Ford Escape accessories and parts.
Although the SUV got no new or redesigned parts or accessories, it received three new body colors giving customers more options for customization. The Escape got no other changes in terms of styling. On the mechanical side, it is again offered with three engines each of which is tied to particular trims. The entry-level model comes equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 168 horsepower. Upgrading to either the SE or SEL brings a smaller yet more powerful mill, namely a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged inline-four capable of generating 179 horses. The Titanium model is exclusively equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-four with horsepower output of 245. Whatever the trim, a six-speed automatic transmission remains the only option.
Similar to the exterior, the interior looks fresh and exciting with lots of premium quality materials and sleek details throughout the cabin. Front and rear legroom are generous, but cargo space is limited to 34 cubic feet. Those who need more room to carry stuff can fold the rear seat down, and that number will grow to 68 cubic feet. However, some stuff may require specific equipment to be safely transported. As an example, bike racks are the easiest solution to carry bikes. Whether you are in need of a hitch or roof mounted rack to carry one or several bikes, you are sure to find it in our selection of 2019 Ford Escape parts and accessories. As for the equipment, the SUV has lots of it. New for this year is that the SE comes standard with the Sync 3 infotainment. In addition, both SE and SEL trims received keyless entry and push-button ignition as standard.
