The XKE, also known as the E-Type is a truly significant vehicle for the overall history of the Jaguar brand. This sports car was first unveiled back in the early 60s and featured an unusual for its time combination of high performance, excellent design and latest technical innovations. Besides, the XKE was available at an affordable price and this model made Jaguar a real icon of the car production of the 60s. This sports car featured sub-seven second 0-60 time and monocoque body shell, was equipped with performance disk brakes and precise rack and pinion steering. Plus, the prolonged and curved hood and narrow horizontal grille made this vehicle look both aggressive and aerodynamic.
Today the Jaguar XKE is a rarity, as the last model came off the assembly line back in the mid-70s.
