The Spider by Alfa Romeo, sometimes referred to as the 105/115 series, is a roadster manufactured by this Italian automaker from 1966 to 1994. It was developed exclusively for the North American market and had a big success, so it remained in production for almost three decades. The design of the original Spider concept was developed by Pininfarina. This rear-wheel-drive roadster was powered by a 1.3L, 1.6L, or 1.8L Twin Cam inline-4 naturally aspirated engine mated to a 5-speed classic manual gearbox. In 2015, Alfa Romeo started a collaborative Spider project in partnership with Japanese manufacturer Mazda.
